Capital Pathways
Funding Journeys
BIRA works with organisations across the capital pathway, from opportunity review and venture building to financing design, market activation, and funder engagement.
Kijani Pamoja, Tanzania
Venture Build . Capital Activation
Kijani Pamoja is developing a smallholder-driven restoration model in the Pangani Basin, combining agroforestry, nature markets, and ecotourism.
Through the inaugural accelerator, BIRA supported the project’s commercial and funding pathway through investment-readiness support, financing-mechanism exploration, and investor-facing positioning. The engagement contributed to the development of the Kahe Project and its funding pathway.
Upemba National Park, DRC
Opportunity Review
Through the inaugural accelerator, BIRA worked with the Upemba team to assess investment readiness and identify the changes needed to strengthen its pathway to future funding.
The engagement focused on priority issues, key gaps, and areas for further development.
Project inclusion reflects BIRA’s role in assessment, advisory support, technical assistance, convening, or market building. It does not imply endorsement of every aspect of a project or attribution of project outcomes to BIRA.
