Nature investments across the continent are growing but must deliver real impact on ecosystems and local communities. BIRA is welcoming executives looking to understand high-quality nature conservation to join our executive training program. This short online training series is tailored for CSR, ESG, corporate foundation leaders eager to build credible nature investments.
Whats the aim?
To build the capacity of corporate teams to engage in Africa-based nature conservation – combining carbon, biodiversity, and community outcomes with strong due diligence and investor-grade metrics.
What will participants gain?
A clear understanding of African natural capital and its economic value, practical tools for due diligence and investment planning, exposure to emerging technologies in MRV (e.g. remote sensing, blockchain), and insights into ESG integration and policy alignment (e.g. TNFD, GRI).
What’s the format and commitment?
Four 90-minute live online sessions spanning over one month – designed for high impact with manageable time commitment. No participation fee, but stated interest in conservation is needed.
Who is delivering it?
Led by African Leadership University’s School of Wildlife Conservation, with contributions from other BIRA partners, including Axum, Credit Nature, and Xilva.
